The next meeting of the lafcpug will be Wednesday March 24, 2010 at the Gallery Theater in Hollywood
March 11, 2010

When was the last time you thought about your storage? Probably when you started running low on space or more likely when your drives didn't spin up. Storage systems have come a long way and the boys from ProMAX are going to take us through a brief technical history and a show and tell on Storage for Video Editors Today. Whether you are still editing on Firewire, have a multi-seat XSAN installation, or are curious about ISCSI, SSD and Light Peak, you will walk away with something you can use. Storage is a changing and there is lots you need to know.

Larry Jordan returns and will show us some tips and techniques on making your video look like film. Think you know it all? Think again.

The filmmakers from the 30 Day Feature Film Challenge come to lafcpug. They wrote, cast, produced, and shot a feature film in 30 days and are now well into post production. They will tell us how they did it, where they are now and where they are going.

Plus, we will do another round of Stump the Gurus, FCS Tips, show and tells, and of course, World Famous raffle. Also there will be time for you to get up in front of everyone and say what you need to say. Agenda will be inked about one week before meeting date.

lafcpug generally meets every 4th Wednesday of the Month
Meetings are open to anyone and everyone, beginners through advanced.
