VFGadgets Launches DSLR SwissCage Kit
August 31, 2010

Toronto, Ontario -- VFGadgets.com has introduced The DSLR SwissCage Kit from Upgrade Innovations as a best-of-breed solution to securely support the whole camera and lens configuration for professionals using DSLRs in video production. It's designed to be as equally useful for extreme rigging as it is for studio work.

The camera is firmly locked between the threaded bottom mount and the top hot-shoe, eliminating the risk of twisting when using a follow focus. 15mm Rods are supported, grip-arm friendly Stud pickups offer extreme multiple point mounting stability and the whole unit is covered in 1/4-20 and 3/8 threaded holes. Mount it anywhere from race cars to helicopters. The DSLR SwissCage Kit opens up limitless specialty rigging applications.
For work in the studio, the camera and it's accessories can be arranged in almost any configuration you can think up.

The DSLR SwissCage Kit has been designed around the Canon Video DSLRs, the 5D Mk II, EOS 7D, and 1D Mark IV. It will work with any DSLR that has a similar body shape. There is access to change media, adjust settings, and replace batteries without having to remove the camera from the cage. Highly adaptable for multiple lenses and multiple camera bodies, additional tall cage posts are included to ensure that the SwissCage can be swapped between regular and battery grip models. The DSLR SwissCage Kit is completely functional in design. Machined from high grade aluminum, it weighs only 3 lbs.
